Volunteers Needed

Even though the country is starting to resume their lives pre COVID-19. The effects of the pandemic will last much longer even with the easing of lockdown. It's essential we keep our food emergency hub running which is why we need more volunteers to join our friendly and welcoming team. 

Packing and Distribution Volunteer

Role Description:        

           

To pack ambient food bags and deliver hot meals to vulnerable households in Woodberry Down. Deliveries are done by bike (induction needed) and by foot. Daily operations, risk assessment and management provided by Manor House Development Trust. Ongoing volunteering opportunity.

 

Number of Volunteers Needed: 5x

 

DBS checking: YES 

 

Mask and overalls MUST be worn when in Emergency Aid Distribution Centre and gloves and masks when doing deliveries, which will be provided.

 

Frequency of Volunteering: Currently 5 times (FT) (PT to suit if necessary)

 

Hours & Times Required: 10am-2pm shift

Aid Sorter 

Volunteer

 Role Description

To sort, organize and store food from local shops such as Tesco etc being provided from the Felix Project and through the FairShare Food Donation scheme at the Skyline Food Hub. To liaise with the Emergency Covid Co-ordinator on role.

Basic health and safety for cycling

 

Frequency of Volunteering: Monday to Friday
